Marketing Terminology Tuesday: ‘Lead bait’

Lead bait is a document or other giveaway used to draw in unsuspecting buyers into giving up their contact information on a web form for something they perceive to be valuable but is in fact useless.

White papers are often an artifact used for lead bait by B2B marketers.
